About us
Handcrafted children's designs for boys and girls
A little journey
It started with grey elephants
My husband inadvertently set me on this journey when he bought me a sewing course for my birthday. At the time, we were expecting our first child, and as the nesting instinct set in, I used my new found sewing skills to make a quilt, cushions, lampshades and other soft furnishings for the nursery. We decided not to find out whether we were having a boy or a girl, and in the last few weeks of my pregnancy I sewed hundreds of small applique elephants in the classic unisex colours of grey, yellow and white.
Fast forward 4 years, and we now have 2 daughters. My love of nursery and children’s décor is now firmly rooted (the last weeks of my second pregnancy were spent sewing hundreds of mint green tortoises for the nursery).
A little adventure
No gender stereotypes here
I started with unisex designs simply because I didn’t know whether I was expecting a son or a daughter, but over the years, I have become more and more aware of the constant gender stereotyping that takes place in our society, and the potential this has to hold back both boys and girls.
So when I decided to launch my own range of nursery and children's items, it seemed only natural that they would be largely gender neutral. I aim to create modern, fun designs that both parents and children will love.

This is a new venture for me, and my first project will be Christmas stockings. I plan to have further items ready in the spring of 2018. I also want to share my love of sewing and general crafts, so I am planning a series of blogs and tutorials for ideas of easy projects that children and their parents can make together.
All my products are designed and hand crafted in South East London, I hope you like them.
